Agapanthus Man, a blossoming spirit turned towards the heavens. ✺

A contemporary work, Agapanthus Man presents the silhouette of a motionless man whose head opens into the radiant blossoming of an agapanthus. The slender stems and floral umbels unfurl in a burst of light, like an inner energy that rises and spreads, transforming the human figure into a luminous point of germination.

The flower becomes an expansion of thought. It symbolizes the impulse, the diffusion, and the openness of being to the world. Between dense body and airy bloom, the work evokes an inner force that spreads like a constellation of plants, where the spirit unfolds in living rays.

Agapanthus Man - Flora

Textile material: Jacquard woven cotton.

Design: Each tapestry is the result of a precise and collaborative process, blending traditional textile expertise with contemporary technologies. Starting from one of my original watercolor drawings, the artwork is interpreted and then translated thread by thread on a Jacquard loom. Many hours of preparation and weaving are required to bring each piece to life.

Eco-responsibility: Manufacturing prioritizes environmentally friendly methods. The tapestries are made of 100% cotton, a significant portion of which is recycled cotton. Textile waste from production is reused or reintegrated into the manufacturing cycle to minimize the ecological footprint.

Uniqueness: Each tapestry is a singular textile work, originating from one of my original watercolor drawings. This artwork is then interpreted and translated into Jacquard weaving, making each piece a unique creation, impossible to reproduce exactly.

Care instructions: To preserve the beauty and condition of your tapestry, clean it carefully (dry cleaning or gentle washing depending on use). Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive humidity, heat, or direct sunlight.

Durability: Designed to last, the tapestry evolves over time. The fibers soften, the material gains depth and patina, gradually revealing the full richness of the weave and the nobility of the textile.
