Marin Floral, a journey between flesh and horizon. ⚓
A contemporary work, Marin Floral features a sailor's garment, traversed from end to end by a flower from Latin America. Like a plant-like spine, it connects the body to elsewhere, anchoring it to departure.
The flower becomes a path. It symbolizes the sailors' route, their distant voyages, the cultures they encountered, and the stories they brought back. Between textile and organic forms, the work evokes the constant dialogue between humankind and the lands they traverse, between the salt of the sea and the memory of the continents.
Marin Floral invites us to see the sailor not just as a man of the sea, but as a transmitter: of seeds, stories, and roots. A work of travel, cultural exchange, and verticality, where each petal is a stopover.

Marine Floral - Flora
Textile material: Jacquard woven cotton.
Design: Each tapestry is the result of a precise and collaborative process, blending traditional textile expertise with contemporary technologies. Starting from one of my original watercolor drawings, the artwork is interpreted and then translated thread by thread on a Jacquard loom. Many hours of preparation and weaving are required to bring each piece to life.
Eco-responsibility: Manufacturing prioritizes environmentally friendly methods. The tapestries are made of 100% cotton, a significant portion of which is recycled cotton. Textile waste from production is reused or reintegrated into the manufacturing cycle to minimize the ecological footprint.
Uniqueness: Each tapestry is a singular textile work, originating from one of my original watercolor drawings. This artwork is then interpreted and translated into Jacquard weaving, making each piece a unique creation, impossible to reproduce exactly.
Care instructions: To preserve the beauty and condition of your tapestry, clean it carefully (dry cleaning or gentle washing depending on use). Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive humidity, heat, or direct sunlight.
Durability: Designed to last, the tapestry evolves over time. The fibers soften, the material gains depth and patina, gradually revealing the full richness of the weave and the nobility of the textile.
